The Cat 340D is a 40-ton large hydraulic excavator with an operating weight of approximately 39,600-40,500 kg and a bucket capacity of 1.9-2.4 m³. Powered by a Cat C13 ACERT engine rated at 261 kW/1800 rpm, it delivers a maximum digging force of 296 kN, a maximum digging depth of 7,560 mm, and a maximum digging height of 11,050 mm.
